Pear And Green Salad
Here is a Christmas pear and green salad that I learned to make some years ago. Winter is a great time for pears, so this salad is a wonderful way to use fresh fruit at its peak.Prepare the pears and toss the salad with the dressing just before serving.
Here is a beautiful recipe for a pear salad. I’ve used it over the years and it is really one of my favourites. You’ll need

- 1/2 cup oil
- 3 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- dash pepper
- 2 heads butter lettuce, torn into pieces
- 2 pears, cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup toasted walnuts
- 1/2 cup crumbled bleu cheese

The preparation is simplicity. Just combine oil, vinegar, sugar, celery seed,
salt, and pepper in a jar with a very tight lid. Shake well until sugar is
